A Climate-Conscious Mooncake Collection

A Mid-Autumn Tradition Reimagined to Be Truly Good For the People & Planet

2025

Tradition tastes better when it’s made mindfully.

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, we collaborated with sustainable artisan bakers resavour on a climate-conscious celebration: a duo of bunny-shaped mooncakes crafted from all natural ingredients and enriched with brewers’ spent grain. The mooncakes, Classic Lotus Constellation and Almond & Apricot Abundance, were baked locally by resavour, ensuring minimal carbon footprint. We wrapped these bunny-shaped mooncakes (a nod to the Jade Rabbit) in recyclable wooden boxes, and created content to illustrate how a festival like Mid-Autumn Festival that is often waste-producing, can be reimagined to be more sustainable under the luminous, full harvest moon.

Upcycling food waste, like brewers’ spent grains, is one of the most effective methods to boost food availability – it cuts down on our waste and carbon emissions.

“Sustainability doesn't have to be complicated. Start small, try something new—and enjoy it while doing good. Our Cosmic Bunny mooncakes were just a delicious way to do just that.”
